History of Gorno Dryanovo village
The earliest registration of the area - for now - is from 1444. Nahiya has a center and includes 24 more settlements, Dryanovo not being among them.
In the registers of Sanjak Pasha from 1478-1479, the village is noted. In the register of timaris and hasovs in the Nevrokop vilayet, the village of Direnova (village of Gorno Dryanovo) is listed with 25 hanets (households) of infidels and 3 widows.

In 1530 it was noted again in the abbreviated registers of Sanjak Pasha ch. 3 pp. 153 with 50 khanates (households) infidels and eight unmarried, widows 6 and 4 Muslim khanates, unmarried 9th.

It is believed that its inhabitants were pagans. The cemetery is no longer there - new houses have been built, and the area is called Selishta. Perhaps this is the original Dryanovo. Ravne - there is a fountain, a flat place Selishta - there were remains of houses until recently. When the uppermost houses in the village were built, walls were found. They are not Christian. It's already built. Bukov dol - Dryanovska river, a tributary of Kanina river, passes through there, there is a waterfall
